Course Summary of materials

This post serves to quickly summarize the main objectives of the course, materials needed, and methods of evaluation.

Please notice that on the right side of the main blog page you will see the materials needed for this course. This includes:

And the Handouts, Located on the right hand side of the main BLOG PAGE, will probably be updated from time to time.

To a large extent, teaching psychology is teaching vocabulary. This shouldn't be taken as meaning that you get to memorize a list of words. Psychologists use words, as everyone does, to convey a way of knowing. Vocabulary reflects both knowledge and understanding. Hopefully both will increase for us all, including me, this quarter.

Regarding the Case Studies, every other week, starting around 2nd or 3rd week, you will write a paper on a case study. After the paper has been submitted, you will be able to participate in the case discussion. Since discussions require timely participation, you will only be allowed to participate in a current week's discussion. The guidelines for preparing your case study paper can be found HERE.

Please note that I do not accept or grade late assignments.
